IpTL Releases FastLane Firmware 3.2.6 with user Defined MultiLevel Authentication Features

Posted by Comments Off on IpTL Releases FastLane Firmware 3.2.6 with user Defined MultiLevel Authentication Features

New firmware, Version 3.2.6, for all IpTL FastLane appliances is now available.  As part of IpTL’s continuous improvement and customer initiatives we are product to add to following to our solution set:

  • Multilevel authentication.  An access system has been introduced which allows custom usernames and passwords to view, manage, or modify a running appliance.   This feature enables a username based permissions structure to allow limited management of  an appliance. Usernames can be added and read/write access to individual components in the system can be customized based on the requirements of the user.
  • Custom management views.  Each user can have a custom view of the system which can include any of the available header links. Web headers can be visible and not accessible or can be setup as standard available links. The custom view also provides the ability to define a custom landing page.
  • Custom user links.  Each user can have a custom view of the links available in the navigation section of the system. Web links can be visible and not accessible or can be setup as standard available links.
  • Appliance Tunnel Revocation List.  Local appliance managers can  disposition and block a remote device from connecting to the server. Devices can be added to the revocation list manually by typing in the Real Time Resource ID for the remote device. Or the device can be added to the Revocation List once connected using the button on the Tunnel Connection Page.
  • Various general updates and resolved issues; such as
    • Factory default on push button is now 5 seconds to completed
    • Detached tunnel support
    • Various networking links intuitively reordered

Please see the release notes for complete details.

3.2.6 is now available to all users, and all IpTL appliances, without additional charge.  Please contact upgrades@iptechnologylabs.com to obtain your download link.
